and so sorry we took all the medals
well, not all of 'em, but the most of 'em ...again
america doesn't do well in math or other silly school stuff
but we kick butt in sports
why
cuz we drink beer, eat delivered pizza and watch on tv
there is no better way to get good at something than by
watching
and we americans love to watch
sure we are not all olympians, most stay home and drink
like during wartime - we send our brightest and best
- someone else does our bidding for us, and we win
the rest of us sit and watch
17 days, 10,500 athletes, 2,300 medals and
countless cheers, sadly, some jeers, a multitude of tears
of course lots of hook-ups in the olympic village every night
it's a once-every-four-year celebration that brings the
world together just to see how cool we americans really are
the fact is
we do believe in american exceptionalism
and we do believe that in four years
we'll show it again in rio de janeiro
you just watch
but in the meantime... maybe crack open a math book
