with temperatures again reaching into the 110 degree range
president barack obama and chinese leader xi jinping
have come to their first compromised agreement
in a joint statement released by the white house yesterday
- the two presidents have decided that it was too damn hot
to play their much anticipated presidential round of golf
while walking around the grounds of the annenberg estate
for a brief photo opportunity, some in their security detail
needed immediate attention with cold clothes and beers
after the presidents enjoyed the coolness of the indoors
and a couple of those beers, they decided that maybe
this climate change thingy isn't all that much of a myth
thus blazing new trails in US/china cooperation
and building a new model for the country's relationship
one based on each other's mutual respect and trust
thus, giving both delegations a nice and much needed laugh
also giving an important new tool to confront climate change
'- as hot as it is in this expletive deleted place...
we gotta start doing somethin'' reportedly stated the president
their actual agreement reads:
“Regarding HFCs, the United States and China agreed to work together and with other countries through multilateral approaches that include using the expertise and institutions of the Montreal Protocol to phase down the production and consumption of HFCs, while continuing to include HFCs within the scope of UNFCCC and its Kyoto Protocol provisions for accounting and reporting of emissions.”
president obama, while popping open yet another beer said
'people thought we'd just sit around in this beautiful setting
and more than likely hit a wall in these negotiations
however i suggest as hot as it is, we hit the pool'
