THE WAVES IN THE DESERT ARE DIFFERENT

new york's a lonely town is an old song

it peaked at number 32 in 1965 - that's old

my woody's outside covered with snow... nowhere to go now
new york's a lonely town... when you're the only surfer boy around

and being the only surfer boy in palm desert is also tough

now, of course i'm not the only one, but it feels like it

and i haven't really surfed standing up... ever

belly board surfing was fun until my belly wouldn't allow it any longer

there are no board shops anywhere here in the desert

and no sex wax either - i forget what that wax does anyway

however there are waves out here in the oasis

and currently we are having one hell of a wave

it started in hell and it's just getting hotter

when it hits 122 degrees you know there's something wrong

at 122, i start sweating like george zimmerman

when it's this hot, i can't help feeling like a prickly pear

these desert heat waves aren't really that much different

from the waves at the beach

with both you get soaked, taste salt, can't breathe

and drink lots of tequila
