GOULASH AND VODKA

one of the newest countries to join our list is slovakia

this blog has been read in slovenia for months

what’s the difference

aren’t they the same country...

here’s a geo-comedic lesson...

culturally and demographically

slovenia has been a border area throughout its history

people on the edge, the edge of here and nowhere

four linguistic and cultural groups of the continent melted together

a greasy goulash

slavic, germanic, romantic and uralic

vic, nic, tic, lic and dic

they like porn

83% of inhabitants considered themselves slovenes

the rest think that they are just slobs

another major group are immigrants from yugo

but they left the country when the slobs said

you go

so, they just left

the one’s that stayed are called

remainians

the slovenes continue to have a major identity problem

they treat this problem with vodka

the slavs, on the other hand

arrived in the territory of present day slovakia in the 5th century

before that they were part of the great hungarian empire

always hungry, looking for soul food

and a place to eat

they used to rely on the nazis

when that didn’t work

they depended on the czechs

and when that didn’t work

they became slovaks

now they are one of the only former communist countries

to be a part of nato and the eurozone

they continue to cover their asses

and still lookin’ for soul food

they have found a place to eat

they like a greasy goulash and vodka

see... it IS the same country...
