you hear a lot about our four fathers lately
- who was this quartet of fellows anyway...
and you hear how they intended the government to operate
they made a constitution but they were all so drunk that
they had to add a bunch of amendments and even added
another bill of various rights

seems obvious that what's wrong in washington is
that our elected officials aren't happy anymore
what we need is a little less legislation
and a lot more beer
these guys need to loosen up a bit
tap a keg, have a happy hour or two, throw back a few
simply go on a bender and stop being so sober
it's really hard to believe that they are this stupid sober
i would be more understanding if they were sauced
then our government would make more sense
so go ahead you guys - close it up and hit the pub
take off the rest of the time between now and the election
- nothing is gonna get done either way
