as us hippies grew up we have decided that we could get
away with smoking our reefer -just as the homosexuals
saw they could get away with their behavior
make it legal
but after years of trying, the herb is still illegal
- while sodomy is hailed and celebrated
like other illegal things that people feel should be legal
that law is ignored
ignoring the law causes problems sometimes
ya gotta pay taxes, ya gotta not drink and drive
and other stuff, like don't cross the yellow tape on the border
many progressive governments have decided to tweak laws
our president decided it's ok to cross that yellow tape and
some cities came up with a medical reason why dope is dope
in oliver stone's newest theatrical release, he shows
some of the many reasons why the illegal marijuana trade
is dangerous
beheadings, shootings, kidnapping, torture and even spitting
stone thinks he's showing how small independent growers
could make this whole thing work, but his plan backfires
just like we had to deal with the oil cartels in the 70's
we deal now with the drug cartels and their form of terrorism
there's nothing nice and safe about the drug trade
not even in clean sterile labs and co-ops and grow-ops
no, everybody dies and no body's happy while high
this is just not a funny movie
hollywood tried those funny dope movies in the 80's
- they didn't work either... marijuana is still illegal
there's a very good reason too
like we've said before
most people are too stupid to allowed to get stoned
