ON THE COVER OF THE ROLLING STONE

rolling stone magazine is drawing fire

they've made the decision to place the boston bomber

dzhokhar tsarnaev on the cover of their latest issue

he looks like your average rocker and critics are angry for

the magazine blurring the line between fame and infamy

they say it sends a dangerous message to tsarnaev's

warped supporters and also fans of the door's jim morrison

they're upset because the photo makes this sociopath islamist

look like a rock star, yet today, most rockers look sociopathic

the magazine hits newsstands tomorrow, i changed the photo

but today, the folks in boston are saying it's despicable

and there are 1000's of negative comments on social media

there's even a facebook page urging a boycott of the magazine

which is difficult because first you have to find social media

people that actually ever buy a magazine

rolling stone's covers have always featured great rock'n' roll

role models like roman polanski, o. j. simpson and

that famous rocker, charles manson

when is the last time ol' charlie dropped a new hit album

but i don't blame the rolling stone, they gotta try something

the print magazine industry is dying a horrible death

- maybe it's from spending so much time in doctor's waiting rooms

the magazine has long been read for it's hard hitting journalism

- just like playboy

so in the end, does it matter that dzhokhar is on the cover

- well, it's true that they will sell some more magazines

like dr. hook says in his hit song

he'll at least buy five copies for his mother

OUR THANKS ONCE AGAIN TO THE COLBERT REPORT
