you bet your nine iron they do
while washington is readying for yet another arctic blast
the president has winged his way back to rancho mirage
barack obama returns to the desert this weekend
for some golf — oh, and to meet with the king of jordan
the president already loves the twists and challenges of what
is perhaps the desert’s most exclusive golf course
- the annenberg estate at sunnylands
the president is known to have played a round and also
two rounds of golf last summer when he was here
under the excuse of visiting with the president of china
he really wanted to return when it's a little cooler
(it was 117 degrees last june , today it's only 90)
he's back to play around again
and get some golf in with 'his friend' the king
after all it's valentine's day so he has the chance to enjoy
the perks of being the president
- like leaving his family out in the cold
sunnylands is famous as the private course on the estate of
former ambassador walter annenberg who has hosted
presidents, kings, queens (of all kinds) and even princes too
the estate is said to provide all they desire - including golf
of course, there are other courses that obama could play
in the immediate area there are a variety of private courses
where a presidential entourage wouldn’t be a disruption
and where other US presidents have played
but barack's dream is to be remembered like the other
special presidents
so he golfs sunnylands, carving his own niche into the long
history of presidents playing on the desert's exclusive course
reinforcing a rancho mirage slogan: 'playground of presidents'
it's said that we can expect to see obama partying with an A+ list
of hollywood celebrities whereas the coachella valley is
known as 'hollywood's playground'
no matter what gives this weekend
there'll be kings and queens and presidents enjoying paradise
