now that starbucks has come to their senses
and will start allowing any ol' anybody to come in
and make themselves at home
i've found a new place to call home
to many people
home is where the heart is
but to me, home is where the head is
suddenly no need to clean up after i wee
and whatever smells come out
they stay inside the coffee shop
while i can go outside and lounge in my new patio
the patio is a great place to put up my feet and people watch
you can see all kinds of cool stuff just watching
like the city's homeless making themselves right at home
but not being a customer has such a feeling of liberation
no dealing with bitchy baristas or spending way too much
on stale pastries or over cooked coffee from other countries
my new home is right downtown palm springs
which is slowing being transformed from
a quite little tourist village to a sleek, slick millennial haven
it's actually kinda sad, it's starting to look like every place else
the days of the rat pack carousing around town are long gone
but what i'm really concerned with is
now that starbuck boss, howard schultz is leaving the helm
and is probably going to run for president
this free hospitality at his company my soon be over
or
maybe if he becomes president
every business in the country will give us a free ride
for sure it would definitely be a free for all
