miller is a satirist, a humorist, a wordsmith

but not a stand-up anymore

he stayed behind the podium most the time

when he did venture out, he told a long and personal story about

a dinner with frank sinatra (sweet, but no punchline)

he continued on doing the right thing

- firing shots right over the bow
