holy smokes, this is horrible, you can bet dollars to donettes
that this will not fair well with the american teenager
blaming its pension and medical benefits obligations
increased competition and tough economic conditions
the venerable baking company may have to cease operations
hostess said wednesday that its previous efforts to produce
incremental change, offer fewer product choices
and focus on their pseudo cream-filled items
just hasn't worked out
in its filing with the US bankruptcy court in nyc
hostess disclosed that its biggest unsecured creditor is
the union's pension fund that they can no longer afford
the baker owes almost a billion dollars to the fund
- that's a lot a cupcakes
the problem has been sno-balling for years
hostess said in a statement that the union representatives
sent the company a real zinger when it demanded payment
the company is looking for someone to bail them out
they are asking the public to dramatically increase their
intake of fruit pies and suzyQs
- they calculate at least a minimum of 25 fruit pies
and probably a case of suzyQs daily, per person
the company said that the union leaders are just a
bunch of ding-dongs and they are being squeezed
- squeezed hard right down to their creamy center
one thought surfaced recently that the company
could layoff just the male employees and use the
female employees as ho-hos
- the girls didn't like that idea
