homemade bottle bombs have been around for a while
at least two decades, they've been known by a variety of
different names, including drano bombs and from tv fame,
macgyver bombs. they're a favorite of teenage pranksters
who steal recycled bottles as the main container
and because they can be made with common household
ingredients, but police warn that the devices are
unpredictable and dangerous and really fun too
would-be bottle bomb makers should be aware that
if they're caught they can be charged with a felony
penalties can be quite severe, some include having
to clean the prison bathroom drains, by hand
the way a bottle bomb works is simple
when aluminum foil comes into contact with drano
a strong chemical reaction occurs, releasing a gas
which causes pressure to build up inside the bottle
which eventually releases a big kaboom
the caustic, boiling liquid thrown off by such an explosion
can cause second or third-degree burns
and worse, a stink that stays thru many showers
and/or blindness
news reports of bottle bomb incidents have cropped up
regularly since the early 1990s, but now it's all over
the internet and in multiple emails
reports in local and national papers report that this
all started from a long ago forgotten episode of the once
popular televison series macgyver
but we know it for what it really is,
it's another powerful american corporation helping
the occupy movement create anarchy on a massive scale
to upset the current conservation movement steaming
through the american heartland
