today's the day those of us who have beards
get to shave 'em right off for a nice smooth clean shave
it is a day when you let your family and friends see
what you really look like underneath all that face hair
there are many great americans whose beards made
them the man (and in some cases the woman)
that they were
facial hair is a powerful thing, it can be
MENACING, MEAN, EVIL AND FILTHY DIRTY

between the ages of 15 and 75
that equates to a full five months of just shaving
90% or about 95 million american men over
the age of 15 shave... with 75 percent shaving
daily
the average 15-20 year old shaves 275 times per year
while shaving frequency rises to almost daily
for men aged 20 to 65
- everyday for 40 years...
that is nuts...
i guess that after 65, you just don't give a crap anymore
in the meantime, screw this holiday, i'm keepin' my beard
i will however celebrate, have a few shots, several beers
and then maybe go next store and shave my neighbor's dog
