the general public isn’t allowed access to this golf course
and beginning today, you ain't gettin' anywhere near the place
there are secret service vehicles surrounding the place like indians
this is beautiful sunnylands in rancho mirage, california
and for the next couple of days, this will be the center
of the diplomatic world when the presidents of the world's
two superpowers will play golf here (and maybe talk shop)
the course has a number of unique features & landmarks
two palm trees, named in honor of frequent visitor/golfer
dwight eisenhower rise from the center of the second fairway
a recently restored 30-foot totem pole lines-up on a fairway
- that gives the players something to aim at...
and ornate chinese pagoda in the middle of the course which
is positioned for intimate get togethers out of the blazing sun
and the sun will play a major role during this weekend summit
as temperatures are expected to top 110 degrees
the chinese president is a keen golfer, loves tiger woods
and is expected to give obama a run for his money
don't expect to much to come out of these high level meetings
perhaps some of the leader's aides might accomplish something
but, don't kid yourself, this sunny-summit is all about golf
...and trying to cool off drinking chinese beer in a pogoda
