i must confess, i'm really confused
i'm not quite sure where this is all going
but it can't be any where good
let's talk trade wars - they always precede cold wars
and cold wars go before things start to get hot
but just turn on the TV
the real action is when the people take to the streets
from brazil to turkey to napal - the people have had enough
so what usually happens is a tear gas-filled street party
this happens usually because they have had enough
or sometimes when they don't have enough
here in the states we mostly have enough
so we don't hit the streets a lot
but now that the american gestapo is reading our email
and keeping track of who we call and when we call 'em
and even how long we stay on the freakin' phone
well, now it's time for some kind of action... but what kind
it's because they have now begun testing our urine
- most people are not aware of this, they'll pee anywhere
it's this new development that really pisses me off
so i think it's time we get up off the couch
and go outside and actually march
we should march in the streets like the rest of the world
i'm actually feeling jealous and left out when i see 'em on TV
and i'm not afraid to give up TV for a couple of nights
to go out and wear a hanky over my nose and
march in the streets - maybe i'll meet some hippy chicks
i just hope there are plenty of those cool food trucks there
