hot dawgs, get your hot dawgs
the cry that has been heard in ballparks for decades
- yes, there is crying in baseball
maybe going the way of the oldsmoblie
soon you can just pull out your smartphone
and tap your way to a beer - delivered direct to your seat
some feel that the new mastercard technology would civilize
the current system
the system that's works in ballparks for a 100 years
now no yelling at the vendors, no waiting in long lines
for a dog and a brew while missing base hits and RBI
nope, you'll be able to use your new app to order goodies
yeah, there's an app for that - you just scan one of those
pop-art looking quick-response codes on the seat back in front of you
that would call up the stadium’s concession menu
and indicate where exactly you’re sitting
- then security comes and kicks you out cuz you're not in the right seat
or, you’d tap on your phone to order your hot dog and beer
or that huge pretzel covered in nacho cheese sauce
or whatever sushi-like crap stadiums are selling these days
- electronically
your order would materialize at a nearby concession stand
and the charge would be billed to your mastercard account
and a runner would deliver the food to your seat
fine, no mess, no lines, no problem
other merchants are using the new technology
like mcdonald's, starbucks and dunkin' donuts
but they aren't delivering - not yet
there was a milkshake shop in california that used to deliver
but what's a ballgame without missing some of the action
by going to the concession stand or spending an inning
looking to get the peanut guy's attention
i wonder if they will still throw the peanuts at you
or slap the mustard on the dog right there in front of you
or pour you a cold one right there in the aisle
all the while blocking the way of a group of people
and in the way of the view of the people in the next 3 rows
probably not
but i am sure that they'll get my order wrong
and the girl that delivers it to me will say
'no problem'
