little, immature children love to be big
they try to act like adults and want to grow up big
that didn't happen to the people that you elected to represent you
you elected the children with the most cash
and they are still acting like children
it's not their fault, that's the way they were raised
it's your fault, you want too much from them
they are really confused, but they want to please you
- just like any child would
but you want them to spend your money on everything
you want them to go more into debt and spend more
i wish i had a debt ceiling - oh that's right, i do
when i have no cash and no more credit, i'm done spending
but you are allowing them to raise the roof, and allow them
to spend more and more, like you're the bank
- you're not the bank
the treasury is the bank and they print the money
and they will resort to
'extraordinary measures' to temporarily
finance the government's
expenditures and obligations
it's kinda like when you ask a friend for gas money
- just enough to get to the bar
and not enough to get home - but that's ok, you don't care
because you're drunk
the treasury
has never reached the point of exhausting
these secret extraordinary measures
but if that happens, it's unclear whom the government will pay
it seems like it will be the squeakiest of the squeaky wheels
and that will last until the wheels fall off
